Pastoral Care and Senior Adult Ministry
Brief info
Ed Smith is part time assisting in pastoral care ministry. Ed and his wife Anne were both save August 1,
1976 at Northside. He came on staff in October 1981 as the Jolly Sixties Director. In 2001 he left
Northside to pastor Golden Harvest Baptist Church in Stevensville, Ontario, Canada. Ed and Anne
returned to Charlotte in 2015 after serving in Canada for fourteen years. “It’s an honor and a privilege
to serve at Northside once again”.
Pastoral care will reach to all ages with hospital visits as well as home visitation. He will be assisting Diane Propsts in the Jolly Sixties Ministry and working with the senior
singles, widows and widowers (Senior Singles Ministry). He will head up a prayer ministry along with
visitation ministry to shut in’s and those in nursing homes to assist and care for the seniors of Northside
as well as those outside our church family.
